Institute for Philanthropy Tsinghua University (IPTU) was found in April, 2015. It is co-sponsored by Ministry of Civil Affairs and Tsinghua University. It is made up by a team of researchers, practitioners, and supporting staff who share a passion for and a commitment to furthering the cause of philanthropy. IPTU believes that only through passionate, rational, and professional philanthropy can we achieve positive, sustainable, and significant change. It is dedicated to becoming a leading institute for research on philanthropy; a cradle for future philanthropic leaders; a top national think tank; and a world-class international platform for communication and collaboration in the field of philanthropy research. Two main goals underpin its research:developing the research of philanthropy as a discipline in its own right and strengthening systematic research on philanthropy; building an effective system by which to nurture future leaders and innovators of the philanthropy field. Its fields of research include:Institutions and Policy; Program, Project, and Resource Development; Organizational Governance, Leadership, and Management; Faith, Culture, and Philanthropy.
